This is a crazy world that forces confusing lies upon us every day -- lies about what is most important, who we are, who we can become, what we can accomplish, our value, our potential, our worth, what makes our lives meaningful, how & where we can find true happiness, and on and on.

So we've decided to wage our own little war against those lies by sending our brave friends a daily truth. Think of it as a little bird delivering your truth -- and imagine that this truth-teller is someone who loves you and understands you completely.

Our daily emails are a free gift that is sent most weekdays, Monday through Friday, with all our love and wishes for everything joyful and brave and true.

I started crying a little when I began writing this post earlier today. It has made me all wobbly and teary-eyed and emotional all day and I sort of hate that, especially when I canít shake it. That means that itís striking a chord, and I know it is. The tears came today because I started thinking about a dream I had when I started my first business in my twenties and began my battle with workaholicism. I will tell you about the dream at the end of the post. (read post here

Brave Girls Club - A Little Butterfuly Told Me

A Little Butterfly Told Me, especially for all of the young Brave Girls of the world!!!!!

Sign up HERE to get daily truth emails just for girls and teens, along with fun and beautiful printables to put in their journals and lockers!

We will be featuring a young artist's butterfly every day, so make sure you help your young brave girls email us their butterfly paintings, collages, drawings -- any way they want to make a butterfly. Include the artist's photo (if its all right with you). We can't wait to see their art!! Send to kathy@bravegirlsclub.com.

We also have a new FaceBook page especially for young brave girls. Check it out!

Every day we feature a different songbird and artist on our emails and want to invite all our Brave Girl friends to participate! If you have original artwork of any songbird that you'd be willing to share, please email us a high res photo along with your name and where you're from, along with your photo (if you don't mind) and a link to your blog or website so we can feature you as our 'little birdie artist of the day'! The images that work best are those that feature a single songbird that is clearly visible from the background. The finished images we use are 180 pixels wide but, we are happy to crop and resize as needed.

We are happy to report that we have received a LOT of birdie art and we LOVE IT! We encourage you to keeping sending them as these daily emails go through a lot of birdies! We make our selection completely by random drawing each day.

THANK YOU for sharing your talents through your beautiful artwork. Brave Girls are awesome!!!

Dear Weary Girl,

Sometimes we forget who and what our greatest teachers are, and we let the lessons beat us down, discourage us or make us feel forgotten (instead of seeing the lessons for what they are and recognizing how strong and wise and phenomenal the teachers are helping us to become). Even so, sometimes we would like to punch the teachers in the face. :)

Our greatest teachers often come in the form of difficult people, painful experiences, tragic accidents, devastating illnesses, confusing losses and big time disappointments. Knowing that these parts of life are great teachers with great lessons certainly doesn't make them easy to endure, sweet friend, but knowing can help us move forward through it all.

Just know, beautiful girl, that hard times are not there to punish you, or because you deserve to be hurt, or because you have been forgotten, but that hard times are simply are part of life for everyone. We each have things we need to learn, we each have different teachers, we each have different lessons. Each lesson makes you even more brave, more phenomenal, more YOU.

And you, dear friend, are as phenomenal as they come.

Keep up the great work. Keep learning. You are gonna be one smart cookie.

You are so very very very loved.
